You can enable the binlog in Aurora by creating a cluster parameter group with the binlog_format parameter set to the binary logging format of your choice (either MIXED, STATEMENT or ROW), and then applying it to your Aurora instance/cluster. In order for the parameter to take effect, make sure you choose "apply immediately" and then reboot the instance.
